Wetheral Priory Gatehouse
Entrance is FREE!
Well-preserved 15th-century gatehouse, the sole survivor of a small Benedictine priory. A miniature ‘pele-tower’ containing two storeys of comfortable rooms, it later became a fortified vicarage.
