Woodland Recreation Area

Heritage Wood

Entrance is FREE!

The first trees were planted in Heritage Wood in 1988, by Robert and Wendy Morley, who have farmed in Ednaston since 1964.  This was as a result of them listening to family and friends, who had expressed an interest in planting trees to mark a variety of occasions and family events. Since 1988 over 5500 trees have been planted.  Together with thousands of trees we have a beautiful lake.  The lake is around half an acre and created as a tranquil area to sit and watch the ever hungry fish and ducks, who will always welcome you feeding them your picnic left overs. There are picnic tables around the edge of the lake where you can sit and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside.
