Restaurant

The Horseguards, Brokenborough

Entrance is FREE!

This attraction was nominated by Tony Newcombe

Nice restaurant in beautiful rural setting well off the beaten track.

Proprietors Arthur and Janette acquired the freehold of The Rose and Crown in 2004. Of early 18th century origins it is believed by 1730 it was a pub known as The Crown and by 1740 as The Rose and Crown. To avoid confusion with neighbouring pubs of the same name, to create a unique identity and to pay tribute to the finest cavalry regiment in the British army, in which Arthur served, the pub became The Horse Guards in 2011.
