Follow the brown signs

This place is right on our doorstep and I’d never been! There were a lot of trains to look at all with well informed signs, including a royal carriage – to see how the other half travel! There was a steam train which took you to the end of the site and back again for a small fee but as entrance to the place was free so you didn’t mind. When we went there was a model mania event on so saw a lot of model railways and model aircraft makers. The detail was amazing!
