Follow the brown signs

The River Wye from Glasbury is ideal for family trips with only a few grade 1-2 small rapids. A wide range of wildlife can be seen on the river and around the river banks. On route you can stop at selected places to take a break or have a small bbq. Please note all litter must be taken with you as the river is used by many paddlers, fishermen and of course the wildlife. You can hire canadian canoes, double kayaks or single kayaks and paddle off downstream to Hay-on-Wye which is 5 miles and will take you 2 hours, or to the Boat Inn at Whitney which is approx 10 miles and will take you 4 hours.
