Set in a series of historic buildings just a couple of minutes walk from Guildford High Street, the Museum is full of charm and interest. Step into the world of prehistoric man, the Romans and Saxons, monks and friars, Lewis Carroll and the Victorians. The archaeology gallery shows the development of life in Surrey from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages. The local history gallery displays Guildford’s crafts and industries and an extensive needlework collection is also on show.
