In the longest Long Gallery of its kind you’ll come face to face with the ancestors in a display of over 60 portraits from the National Portrait Gallery. If needlework’s your thing there’s also a fantastic collection of samplers and tapestries. And there are even several walks to choose from: A short stroll through the garden along the wobbly hedges to a 4-mile walk including the Lime Avenue and St. Michael’s Hill.
